U-Kiss ranked third on the Oricon Chart with their fifth Japanese single, Distance, on the first day after its release. Even with many Japanese artists releasing albums for the year-end season, SHINee and U-Kiss ranked second and third on the Oricon by a narrow margin.
Despite the fact that the popularity of Hallyu has declined a bit in Japan, all tickets for the promotional events and fan meetings of U-Kiss have sold out quickly. The group also ranked third on the Oricon Chart with their new single on the first day after its release.
People in the Japanese music industry expect that the positions of some of popular Korean singers will change a lot next year.
“Distance,” the lead track of U-Kiss’s new single, describes a man’s feeling for his lover. It’s a ballad that perfectly suits the winter season.
U-Kiss are also working on their new album, to be released in Korea in March next year.
